Climate crisis takes center stage

The Africa Social Impact Summit will explore Africa’s vulnerability to climate change, despite its low carbon footprint. Discussions will center on practical solutions for climate resilience, youth empowerment, and economic inclusion.

Mohamed Malick Fall, UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, emphasized the importance of localised strategies. He highlighted six key transition pathways: food systems, energy access, digital connectivity, education, jobs and social protection, and climate change.

Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of the Sterling One Foundation, stated that the Africa Social Impact Summit serves as a catalyst for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She cited past successes, including mobilizing N3 billion for healthcare revitalization and creating action plans for green jobs.

The summit will feature over 50 industry-leading speakers across six thematic areas: climate change, circular economy, education, health, renewable energy, and agriculture. Regional Deal Rooms will connect investors with innovators, while Investment Showcases will attract large-scale opportunities for sustainable growth.

Collaboration for impart

The summit will also include Immersive Experience Areas to showcase transformative success stories. These sessions aim to foster impactful partnerships that drive measurable change across the continent.

Since its inception in 2022, the Africa Social Impact Summit has emerged as a key platform for advancing the SDGs and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. It continues to unite stakeholders from the private sector, civil society, and government to find innovative solutions to Africa’s developmental challenges.

The event will be held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, with global virtual participation. Organizers invite participants to register and join the movement to transform Africa’s future. The summit underscores the continent’s commitment to creating bold, actionable solutions for a sustainable and resilient future.
